We are currently converting all the drawings we have into CAD, to enable us to quote more effectively. This is being done as much as possible in house to save on cost. We are also working with the Holden F5 Trust who own a suitable pattern for the bogie wheels.
The pattern is owned by the Holden F5 Trust
Each wheel casting will cost a minimum of £2000. This doesn't include further machining and tyre fitting. The 3' 9" wheel will be the first set of wheels to be constructed.
The nameplate is another part of the Claud that we are eager to see constructed. The pattern has already been made, with thanks to Alan Smalley.
It has been quoted at £300 for each brass casting.
The Drag beams have also been drawn up ready to tender drawings out.
